We couldn’t be more excited to launch this new and exciting initiative with the beautiful Love Story of Solange and Josh Patterson. We love making our clients happy and helping them create beautiful memories, so it’s so special to revisit magical moments that we helped create for our clients! How did you and Josh meet?

Solange: We are super basic 🤪. We met at a bar. We had a mutual friend who had asked me to join him and some friends at the bar for happy hour. Josh was one of his friends. We all ended up hanging out all evening and Josh and I really just had good conversation all night. At the time we were both not interested in a relationship so that was the last time we hung out. Fast forward to Labor Day weekend Josh bought a boat and invited my roommate and I to come join him at Party Cove. Once again we had a great time together and the rest is history.

When was the moment at which you knew Josh was the one? 

Solange: If we are being honest I really had no plans of ever getting married. I was supposed to move to New York and live some big city dream. Boy was I wrong 😂. But when we started dating I knew he was different because of the way he treated me. He always made me a priority in his day. Although we are very opposite in our personalities, we shared many of the same morals and core values. I just couldn’t give that up.

How did Josh propose?

Solange: He knows how much I love surprises. Every month he would plan some kind of a surprise for us to go do. So when he told me he had a surprise I had no idea that it would have been the moment he would propose. We walked from our downtown apartment and started heading towards the opera house so I thought he was going to take me to see beauty and the beast on Broadway because it was in town. We ended up at the Nasher sculpture Garden, there weren’t many people there as unbeknownst to me it was actually closed and we had the whole place to ourselves. I saw that they were setting up for a wedding so I did notice the photographer but I thought she was preparing for the wedding. Again another surprise in store was that she was actually taking pictures of us. When we stopped and he started telling me how much he couldn’t imagine his life without me and he got down on one knee I asked him to get up because I was so confused on what he was doing. I think I even told him to get up. Then he pulled out THE MOST STUNNING ring and I asked him if it was even real. To say It was the best surprise ever is an understatement. We then drove to a restaurant to celebrate…..and another surprise… My family and friends were waiting for us to celebrate with us. It was truly a wonderful evening.

How was your experience working with the Diamond Treasures team to create your dream ring?

Josh: Amazing. Raz is great – he is knowledgeable, patient, detailed, timely, trustworthy and easy to bounce ideas off of. As a true novice going into this, he took the time to answer all of my questions along the way and since I chose to design our (her) ring he was extremely helpful throughout the entire process with great advice on what would work and why something may not, etc.. I have recommended everyone I know to Diamond Treasures and everyone has the same experience.
